Cosmetology

Requirements:

1)  1,500 hours

2) Twelfth grade education or equivalent

3) Successfully complete a written and practical examination

4) Apply for licensure

5) Receive a license verification or license prior to providing services

Tuition: The total cost of the program is $11,077.  Registration fee is $400.00, which is nonrefundable.

These costs can be paid monthly following a payment plan arranged at time of admission with the school. The school accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and money orders for tuition payment. Students are required to purchase their own uniforms + shoes, but State Board kits will be provided.

1)  Hold a current license as a cosmetologist, esthetician, or nail technician for a minimum of one year 

2) 750 hours required

3) Twelfth grade education or equivalent

An Apprentice Instructor License Application must be completed by the attending school and submitted to the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology with the required fee within 10 days of enrollment.  Upon completion of the 750 hours, you may apply for the Instructor examination, written and practical.  You must receive license verification or license prior to returning to an educational institute. The process does not require Board approval. If the applicant meets all requirements, a license is issued. One must complete 750 hours as defined in 201 KAR 12:082, Section 8.
